WWE: Bold Predictions for September 11-17

What does WWE have in store for fans this week? We take a look at some things that may take place over the next seven days.

One of my favorite pastimes as a WWE fan is to try and guess what’s going to happen in the future. I don’t go out of my way to spoil myself. But trying to get into the heads of the creative department is a good way to kill some time.

There are a lot of things happening in the coming week. Strangely, one of the most anticipated events is not Raw or SmackDown Live. Instead, all eyes are on the live finale of the Mae Young Classic. The tournament has been stellar, and the final matchup between Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler is sure to be off the wall. Smart money would be on Sane to win the whole shebang, but a Baszler victory can’t be counted out.

Here’s a bold prediction: the win goes to Sane, but Baszler refuses a show of sportsmanship at the end. This prompts some kind of appearance by any of the Four Horsewomen of NXT – most likely Charlotte or Becky Lynch, as they are on the SmackDown roster and will be in Las Vegas. Not to be outdone, the remaining Four Horsewomen of MMA – Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke – also get involved. A match between the two groups would be huge, and what better time to build towards it?

As far as Raw this week, look for the tag team title scene to pick up. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are sitting pretty atop the division as champs. But their two biggest rivals are currently at odds with each other. Gallows and Anderson took offense to the actions of Sheamus and Cesaro last week. Look for the two challenger teams to put their differences aside for the “greater good” – getting the titles off Ambrose and Rollins.

Over on SmackDown Live, Vince McMahon has announced he’ll be in attendance this week.

After suspending his son Shane from his role as commissioner, Mr. McMahon is coming to address Kevin Owens.

KO, after all, provoked Shane into the altercation that led to his suspension. The likely outcome is Vince announcing a match between Shane and Owens at – and in – Hell in a Cell.

But perhaps a twist, where Vince replaces Shane with (ugh) Stephanie McMahon. It would certainly be an unexpected move. And Stephanie has been off television since WrestleMania.

Bottom line, there’s lots of things on tap for this week. And as they used to say, anything can happen in WWE.
