2. Braun Strowman obliterates Brock Lesnar

Braun Strowman has been literally manhandling Brock Lesnar ever since SummerSlam. The trend would continue this past week as well. I cannot think of any other superstar in the WWE who has dominated Lesnar the way Strowman did. Moreover, I cannot think of any instance in Lesnar’s career where he has allowed another superstar to manhandle him this way. That is all the more reason for me to believe Lesnar would retain the title at No Mercy.

There are two benefits to Lesnar retaining the title at this stage. First and foremost, it would extent the life of this great feud for at least one more PPV. Secondly, it would still allow WWE to build towards the inevitable Reigns-Lesnar encounter at WrestleMania. However, that doesn’t mean Strowman has to end up getting pinned. We might have witnessed a preview to Lesnar vs. Strowman this week on Raw. Though I personally disagree with the timing and the portrayal of the match itself, I feel like this could ideally be what happens at No Mercy.

We have also had rumors regarding how Strowman would be ‘protected’ at No Mercy and about how he will continue to feature in the main event scene. If I were to book the match, I would book it exactly like the way it panned out with John Cena. The two behemoths trade fists and power moves until Strowman lose sight of the prize at stake here. This could come by way of Lesnar or Heyman. However, something has to result in him snapping and proceeding to beat the ever-living hell out of Lesnar.

Eventually, the match would have to be called off since Lesnar is not able to continue. Personally, I would root for such a finish rather than a disqualification finish. However, either way, this would allow creative to milk out at least one singles match between the two. Moreover, Strowman would be able to add another crowning achievement to his list of beat-downs.
