1. Styles Beats Corbin But Takes More Damage

Baron Corbin’s gimmick is that he’s a “Lone Wolf” who does whatever he wants, but it basically means that his gimmick is that he is a sore loser who beats people up when the match is over (or hasn’t begun yet) and takes cheap shots. Styles has already called him out for this, which is why he gave Tye Dillinger an opportunity for his United States Championship last week, even though Corbin defeated Dillinger the week before.

Although most of Corbin’s matches on the main roster, such as his bout with Shinsuke Nakamura at Battleground, are subpar, he’s pulled out a few great ones. His match with Kalisto at TLC last year was exceptional, his Triple Threat match with Styles and Ziggler topped that, and he’s shown solid in-ring work with Styles this year.

The feud between Corbin and Styles figures to be a lengthy one, and a logical conclusion involves Corbin winning the US Title from “The Phenomenal One”. Corbin lost the Money in the Bank briefcase, but the company could still finally give him a mid-card title to work with in order to get a real chance to evaluate his potential in WWE.

For this match, I expect a relatively easy win for Styles. They’ll make Corbin look good, but I doubt this will be a long match that showcases Corbin as an equal to Styles in the ring (because, you know, he’s not). However, Corbin will get plenty of heat after the loss by beating up Styles, and I bet he’ll use this strategy to keep getting opportunities to fight Styles.
