Shane Condemns Kevin Owens
After the events from last week are played out in the opening, Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring. He even decides not to do his “fighter shuffle!”
Shane starts off by acknowledging that he and his father haven’t always seen eye-to-eye. But reminds Owens that he not only attached the CEO of the WWE, but also the Patriarch of the McMahon family. Shane condemns the events that took place last week and condemns Owen to “Hell in the Cell.”
Honestly, the whole promo was a little weird. It lacked passion. It removed the likability of Shane McMahon and replaced him with an angry dad that you would rather just avoid. He also put emphasis on Hell in THE Cell instead of Hell in A Cell, which just seemed silly.
Honestly, I am tired of the authority angle. When you have guys like Sami Zayn sitting on the sideline waiting for their number to be called, it begs the question, “Why does Shane McMahon need a featured spot in Hell in a Cell?”
