Aiden English vs. Randy Orton
Orton def. English via RKO
Rating: 2.5/5
“He hears voices in his head, that surprising cause it’s full of lead.” Aiden English indulged the crowd in a bit of high art as he gets set for his match against the Viper. Surprising fact, English is actually undefeated against Orton having beaten him a few months back via DQ.
I was completely surprised by the amount of offense that English was able to get in on Orton. If you want to transform a jobber into a champion, you have to do it like how they’re handling English. Not that I think English should be or ever will be champion, I think he’s fine exactly where he is.
The match ended when Orton “countered” a flying nothing with an RKO. After the match, Rusev came to the ramp and explained what he had said last week. Rusev was expecting to return to Bulgaria as a hero, but because of his 8 second loss to Orton, he was disgraced.
He then challenges Orton to a match, which Orton accepts. Rusev wins quickly when he plants a boot on Orton’s chin after the distraction by English. Elated, Rusev leaves the ring and sprintes to the back.
After a commercial break, Renee Young asks Rusev how he felt after the victory. He says that he can return home as a conquering hero.
