5 Independent Wrestlers Who Should Stay Away from WWE

WWE has a bad track record of taking independent stars, bringing them into their company, and then ruining them by either not using them or just giving them horrible gimmicks. Because of this, some stars on the independent wrestling scene should stay away from WWE.

Vince McMahon would like every wrestler on the independent scene to believe that the WWE is the end-all-be-all of the wrestling world, and in some cases that is true. Many people will judge your wrestling career based on whether or not you make it to the “big dance.”

Some have been able to make their name outside of Vince’s company and are bigger stars than they could ever be in the WWE. Because of that, they should stay away from WWE before their light diminishes in the company that “everyone wants to be in.”

Almost all of the guys you will see on this list have made their names outside of WWE. They could add to WWE and seeing them on Raw or SmackDown would be a great sight no doubt. But the damage WWE could do to them is too big of a risk to take. Vince seems to hold a vendetta against wrestlers that become famous outside of his company. If they ever do sign to work for him, he makes it his personal goal to bring them down a peg.

The only wrestler who, so far, seems to have beaten this is AJ Styles. And while some of these guys are good enough to do the same, seeing them being wasted would be a major disappointment. Plus, what they currently have going could easily be a hundred times better than anything WWE could offer.

Sure, there are some dream matches with guys currently under the WWE brand that we the fans will miss. There have been dream matches in the past that we have lost and that we regret not being able to see.

Imagine if your favorite dream match, whichever it may be, and imagine it turned out to be one of the worst matches ever. One that would go down in the history books as a letdown, you would wish you had never watched that match. You would wish that match had never happened.

Granted, the matches between these guys could be instant classics, but they could just as easily be instant flops.
