5 Independent Wrestlers Who Should Stay Away from WWE
Closing Thoughts
As it stands right now, WWE has enough big names that they don’t need to go after more. Instead, they need to work with the talent they have. With guys like Zayn, Harper, Rusev, and Roode on their roster, they have the talent to be untouchable as far as weekly TV programming goes.
If WWE would just give everyone a meaningful storyline and make that storyline feel important, then it would remedy many of their problems. Attendance would go up, ratings would go up, and people would buy more merchandise.
And if you don’t think attendance is a problem look at these tweets from fans in attendance took of the arena at the September 19th SmackDown:
WWE has an entire half of the arena they were in tarped off. In an arena that sits almost 20,000 fans, WWE sold less than half. Judging from the pictures above, it looks like even the fans in attendance don’t care about what’s going on in the ring.
It’s just like anything else in life. If you put in the effort, you expect something worth that effort in return. If you wokr hard a work you expect a pay raise, or a promotion. If you spend money to go to a show being put on by any company, you expect that company to entertain you. WWE is supposed to be all about entertaining the fans, and judging by the recent numbers, the fans aren’t entertained.

Instead of bringing more names into the mix, and bringing guys back from retirement, WWE needs to focus on making their in-house talent better or at least giving them better storylines. Fans wouldn’t clamor for new faces, to freshen up the product, if WWE made the guys they have feel more important.
At least not as often.
