WWE News: Jeff Hardy May Need Shoulder Surgery

Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy have been out of the tag team title picture ever since dropping the belts to Sheamus and Cesaro this summer, and they could be out of the picture for even longer due to a recent injury to “Brother Nero”.

Although Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy didn’t have a match scheduled for No Mercy tomorrow, initial rumors suggested that they could face “The Club”, comprised of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, in a random match at the Raw pay per view. Yesterday, the kick-off match for No Mercy was announced, and it will pit Elias against Apollo Crews.

Meanwhile, Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin is reporting that Jeff is dealing with a “bad” shoulder injury that could require surgery. It’s a tough break for the Hardy Boyz and especially for Jeff, who won a Battle Royale a few weeks ago and put on a match against The Miz for the Intercontinental Title.

It seems like the Hardyz have been in a state of flux ever since dropping the belts. The nostalgia factor is very much there, but fans are always wondering if the two will split (I hope there’s never an actual turn involved, because we don’t need to rehash the storyline). More importantly, they are wondering when things will go “BROKEN”, because both could be excellent as singles wrestlers with potential title runs. Jeff is a former two-time world champion, and Matt’s career-best work could put him in a position to finally win a world title in WWE.

According to Satin’s report, it appears the injury to Jeff Hardy was recent, and he will need to be evaluated over the next few days in order to assess whether or not surgery is actually required. All we can do is hope for the best, and if he is out for an extended period of time, it will be sad not to see him dazzling audiences in the ring.
