1. Triple H
A few of the people I have on this list have had multiple matches at No Mercy over the year, but I picked based on what I thought was their best match. But one guy had not one, not two, but three matches on the same night at No Mercy 2007. That man was Triple H. Following an injury to WWE Champion John Cena, the WWE Championship was vacated.
To open the show, Mr. McMahon awarded the championship to Randy Orton and told the crowd that he would make his first defense later that night. This prompted an in ring visit by Triple H, who was able to poke at McMahon and Orton until he got the championship match he was looking for. A heated McMahon agreed on behalf of Orton…and then this happened.
Randy Orton was Champion for about 30 minutes. Triple H already had a match scheduled for No Mercy against Umaga that was now a WWE Championship match. In what was a hard-hitting match with the Samoan Bulldozer, Triple H was able to walk away still champions and thought he was in the clear.

Then, Mr. McMahon told him Orton was invoking his rematch clause in the night’s main event in a Last Man Standing match. Ultimately the wear and tear of two matches early that night got to The Game and Randy Orton walked out WWE Champion once again. As someone who was in the crowd that night, it is still one of the greatest single night performances I have ever seen. Not many people, if any, can say that they won, defended and lost the WWE Championship in one night. Triple H can.
Could we see someone crack this list on Sunday?
