3. We Learn Bobby Roode’s First Feud?

The WWE moved Bobby Roode up to the main roster recently, but we still don’t know what his first feud will be. He’s beaten up on Mike Kanellis and Aiden English in singles matches, but we have yet to see if Roode will be given a real program that he can sink his teeth into. The former NXT Champion has always been regarded as one of the best workers in the world, and he checks all of the boxes when it comes to the traits that the WWE uses looks for in its world champions.

It has long been rumored that Roode will be inserted into a feud with Dolph Ziggler, which is standard practice for new, promising main roster wrestlers. We’ve seen it done with Tyler Breeze, Baron Corbin, and Shinsuke Nakamura in recent years, but because of the way these feuds are booked, they never seem to help the newcomer.

Though Ziggler’s new gimmick of mocking grandiose entrance themes seems to be a shot at Roode, we have still yet to see the two engage in any sort of confrontation. Owens clearly won’t be feuding with Roode, as was rumored at one point, so what will be the first big program for “The Glorious One”?

Roode should have a match at Hell in a Cell, and there are only two episodes left until the Pay Per View. That isn’t enough time to build a feud, even if they start tonight. So they could just do a one-off match between Roode and Ziggler, but it can’t be a squash since Nakamura didn’t even squash Dolph. Or they could just not have a feud and save the Roode vs. Owens feud for after Hell in a Cell.

You know what? I like that latter option a lot more.
