WWE SmackDown 5 Predictions For September 26, 2017

1. James Ellsworth Can’t Deliver

On SmackDown Live in a backstage segment, we saw Carmella walking around with James Ellsworth on a leash, which is a continuation of what happened a couple of weeks ago when Ellsworth dropped the Money in the Bank briefcase during Carmella’s match with Natalya. This nearly gave “The Princess of Staten Island” an extremely disadvantageous cash-in, but she was able to avoid this before ultimately losing to the current SmackDown Women’s Champion.

With Ellsworth on a leash, Carmella displayed her full control over Ellsworth, whom she teased a harsh break-up with following that near-botched MITB encounter. Carmella also spoke about how she has plans to cash-in, hinting that Ellsworth will play a key role in this.

Since I believe the WWE will drag out Carmella’s cash-in before making her ultimately successful in her attempt to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship, I believe that Carmella will try –and fail – to cash in tonight due to a miscue from Ellsworth.

Next: Poor Finish Plagued Stellar No Mercy

At the very least, we’ll get to see Carmella with Ellsworth on a leash at ringside, and I wonder if she’ll just tie him up around the ring post or something like that.
