WWE Hell in a Cell 2017: Match Predictions
By Tom Thomas
Natalya(c) vs Charlotte for the Women’s Title
In an ideal scenario, Natalya deserves to be the champion for a lot longer. As such, I would expect the same to happen. Not only would it server the women’s division better in the long run, it would be a testament to all that she has endured over the years with the WWE. Her championship reign should have come much earlier than this. However, now that it is here, let it be a long and dominating run.
Moreover, with Charlotte, there have been plans of a program with Ronda Rousey in the works. If creative indeed pulls the trigger on that or extends the feud as a fight between the four Horsewomen of the WWE vs those of the UFC, Charlotte would need to be at the very forefront of that battle. As such, she needs to stay away from the title picture for the time being. A one-off match against Natalya shouldn’t get in the way of that.
Another factor to watch out for, going into this match would be Carmella. The first and second ever Women’s Money in the Bank contract holder could strike at any time. Could she pull one more trick out of the blue and be the Women’s champion by the time the night ends? Possibly no. Carmella could benefit from holding on to the title. However, she could perhaps cost Flair the title unintentionally. From there, creative can move Flair towards the high-profile bout and Natalya could move towards her next foe.
Prediction: Natalya retains the title by defeating Charlotte.
