The Raw Women’s Division

Highlights of the division

In the long run, it was smart to have Alexa Bliss retain the championship at No Mercy. It’s clear at this juncture that she’s a transitional champion till Asuka arrives. It’s no insult on her, but based on how she has been booked since April on Raw, the WWE doesn’t know what to do with her. She’s too good on the mic but is below average in the ring. This feud that she’s having with Mickie James is interesting but laughable. Like why on earth is Mickie James being inserted in a feud with the champion? She has done nothing on Raw for months now, except beat Emma last month. If Mickie’s going to be positioned to face the champ, she should earn it next week by beating one of the top contenders in the division.

The story brewing between Sasha Banks and Bayley will be fascinating to watch. It could be the time to finally turn the Boss heel and have her take out her former best friend just to get one more crack at the gold. It’ll be one of the hottest feuds in the WWE and something this division desperately needs, since there hasn’t been any buzz for a long time now. Bayley has been getting booed for a while now and if Banks turns on her, she can finally swing back the crowd to her side once again.

Meanwhile, for the rest of the division.

As for Asuka, she’s been advertised to be on Raw’s next pay per view next month. If the WWE wants to book her debut correctly, they should have one of these women call her out for the next few weeks and demand to have a match with her at TLC. That woman should be either Nia Jax or Emma. Preferably it should go to Emma because you’ll need Asuka to completely decimate her first opponent and the Australian fits that bill.

These are the rankings for the division this week.
