2. Marquee Win For The New Day

When The New Day won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles back from The Usos in a “Street Fight” match in Las Vegas, they proved that they could match the intensity of The Usos inside the ring. The Usos are so fearsome because of the edge they bring, because they are the most menacing tag team in WWE (with all apologies to Sheamus and Cesaro).

However, The New Day came out on top, as Kofi Kingston and Big E continued to tear the house down with Jimmy and Jey Uso. At Hell in a Cell, they will face a different challenge inside of The Usos’ “Penitentiary”, which has been their catchphrase of choice for the past few months. The babyfaces demanded this match, and they need to come out on top as champions in order to prove that they can back it up.

The New Day are meant to be booked as the greatest tag team in WWE history. They already have the longest reign under their belts, and the plan is reportedly for them to have the most total tag team title reigns in history. It’s an honor they deserve, and because they are meant to be booked so highly, it’s important for them to win marquee matchups like this one.

It will be tough to see The Usos lose a match that is supposed to be “their turf”, but I love it when The New Day are able to win big matchups to show their edge. They have fun and games with their cereal, dancing, and risqué jokes (thank you, Big E for your services), but they also turn it up to “11” when they must show a more serious side in critical matches.
