WWE: Ronda Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon: ‘Anything is Possible’

The WWE and UFC crossover is truly in full force. The biggest name of the bunch potentially making the switch is Ronda Rousey, and a match against Stephanie McMahon looks on the cards.

As just mentioned, the WWE and UFC are currently in a good relationship, with the latter letting their stars crossover into the Sports Entertainment world — and it’s even receiving WWE mainstream attention.

Ronda Rousey, who at one point in her career had an astonishing undefeated streak, is currently one of the names being drawn into the WWE. The other big name, who is currently training at the Performance Center and was a finalist in the Mae Young Classic, is Shayna Baszler.

At this point, Rousey hasn’t officially signed to the WWE, however, it seems almost certain she will; considering her appearances at the MYC, her drawing power, and her interest to perform inside the squared circle.

One lady who would definitely be interesting in bringing in Rosey is Stephanie McMahon. The Billionaire Princess is no stranger to the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, as the two had newsworthy exchange at WrestleMania 31.

TMZ recently caught up with McMahon and asked about the rumours of Rousey becoming a professional wrestler. Stephanie directed her statement towards Rousey.

"“Ronda, the offer still stands, we would love to have you in WWE.”"

The reporter then questioned McMahon on if she’d consider facing Rousey, she said, “anything is possible”.

So far it seems as if, in interviews anyway, the WWE are trying to give off the impression a deal isn’t in the works just yet. Furthermore, they are giving the impression that Rousey hasn’t made her decision.

If this is true, I’d like to think the company are making moves towards signing Rousey, at least for a few appearances. However, I think the WWE are just playing it down for moment. She’s been appearing on WWE TV, moreover, it was reported a while ago that was training with Brian Kendrick.

Therefore, Rousey making an appearance looks to be all but confirmed. And most likely, when she does make an appearance, it will be a huge surprise, hence, the company playing it down at the moment.

As for her facing Stephanie, well, it’s not the best match possible. If I were running creative for the match, I’d chose Charlotte. She’s more than capable to carry a match (if need be) and the two facing off at the MYC seems like a perfect set-up for the feud. I guess time will tell.
