WWE Rumors: Upcoming Matches for John Cena and Brock Lesnar
By Harry Austen
Following No Mercy, WWE haven’t been pushing a storyline for either John Cena or Brock Lesnar; leading to lots of speculation on the future of the WWE Universal Championship, and, Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect.
The first rumour going around is that both mega-stars Brock Lesnar and John Cena are expected to miss the Raw branded PPV TLC. At this point, the main rumours based on the two are following the event, which is leading everyone to speculate on them missing the WWE TLC event.
More recently, The Beast Incarnate was added to the Raw after TLC, which again, leads to much more speculation. The would suggest that Lesnar will be appearing at the PPV following TLC (boy, I’ve written TLC way too much), and according to Wrestling Inc, Lesnar was also announced for the November 13th episode of Raw – which is the week before Survivor Series.
Currently, the reigning Universal Champion is not advertised for Survivor Series. However, many sites, including Wrestling Inc, believe Brock will be wrestling at the event (defending his title).
Moreover, his likely opponent will be Finn Balor. And some people aren’t thrilled at the idea. (I’m looking at you, Joe!)
As for part-timer John Cena, he is currently advertised for Survivor Series. Conversely, unlike Lesnar, Cena has not been advertised for any Raw appearances leading up to the event.
The rumour mill is running wild for who Cena will face, however, the most mentioned name for the moment is Bray Wyatt.

So, there you have it. Brock Lesnar facing off against Finn Balor, and John Cena battling it out against Bray Wyatt (again). Of course, this is just rumour talk, but don’t be surprised to see Balor picking up steam over the coming weeks, and Wyatt to (hopefully) start racking up some wins.
