WWE Smackdown Rankings Before Hell in a Cell 2017
By Warsame A
Welcome to the WWE SmackDown Live Division Rankings for the Oct. 3rd episode. Who will win their matches in the Hell in a Cell pay per view this Sunday?
These are the WWE SmackDown Live rankings for each division for this following week. Each division would be ranked based on storyline progression and win/loss record as of 2017. Also each division would be divided by contenders and pretenders, to differentiate the challengers in their respective division. I’ll also highlight a specific superstar in each division and explain their ranking based on their actions. Win/Loss record is provided by CageMatch.Net.
Each superstar or tag team can move up or down the rankings based on victory, defeat or storyline progression. Let’s get right to the rankings.

The SmackDown Live Women’s Division
Highlights of the division
Natalya made Charlotte tap out in their tag team match on SmackDown Live but in the end Charlotte should win the title this Sunday. The championship reign of Natalya has been underwhelming to say the least, she has had no memorable moment in the ring or on the mic to distinguish herself. She’s been extremely bland and nobody can honestly tell if she’s a face or a heel most of the time.
As for Charlotte, it’s about damn time she takes her rightful crown at the top of the division. She was owed this spot when she beat Naomi who was the current champion back in April. It’ll be interesting to see if she’ll be booked as a babyface champion after this Sunday. The WWE had a hard time getting the crowd to cheer for her since she was so natural playing a heel on NXT. It wouldn’t be surprising if the WWE does pull the trigger have her turn heel later on just to spice up this division.
If Charlotte does win the gold, contenders like Naomi and Becky Lynch will be in play to vie for a title opportunity. It’ll give the division some fresh new match-ups in the short-term. It wouldn’t make much sense to have Carmella cash-in anytime soon since she’s been booked horribly the past few weeks. As for Tamina, her story to climb to the top of the division shouldn’t be forgotten but it should be amplified if Charlotte wins the gold.
Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
