With Victory Road in the Rear view, Bound For Glory’s build continues to take form

Global Force Wrestling’s Impact Wrestling has been one of the most solid shows in recent memory.  It has taken a step back under the GFW label.  The booking has been inconsistent and the show hasn’t been as good as the number one weekly show as ranked by me a year ago.

The biggest difference in the booking for an Impact Wrestling show than any other is that there is always something set to look forward to.  Impact makes sure that there is one match or segment that fans want to see during the following week.  With Eli Drake as GFW Global Champion, there’s plenty to look forward to during tonight’s show.

There’s also an ongoing feud between GFW and AAA.  It has set up many of the rivalries currently going on in Impact Wrestling.  Eli Drake continues to attack the pedigree of Johnny Impact as AAA’s top guy.  Also, Ethan Carter III and James Storm have joined forces against the group lead by newcomers Pagano, El Hijo De Fantasma, and Texano.

GFW Impact Wrestling has so much going on that five takeaways may be too limiting.  Luckily, it’s only based on one show.  It is definitely a show that anyone who has given up on it should try out again.  With some of the branching storylines continuing to develop, Impact Wrestling continues its build to Bound for Glory in Canada.  There are many things to enjoy on the weekly Impact Wrestling scene thus this show should be no different than the rest.
