The X-Division was on a full showcase in six man tag team action tonight. Andrew Everett has rejoined forces with bitter rival Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley. This match had everything fans were looking for. It started off as a technical encounter but knew when to turn up the tempo. Trevor Lee made sure his team used their tandem offense to inflict damage.
While Trevor Lee was directing traffic for his team, former X-Division Champion, Sonjay took the lead for his. A trifecta of suicide dives turned the tide in this match. Even though Lee’s alliance looked nice as a team early, Dutt, Sydal, and Williams showed their chemistry.
Trevor Lee saves his energy in the match by waiting for the most opportune times to join the match. He was mostly the tipping point for his team in this match but his team couldn’t handle the momentum of their fast paced opposition.
This match definitely makes fans want tag teams from the X-Division. The way these teams worked together could be a building point for the Tag Team division. It is an idea that should be discussed in creative meetings with Impact Wrestling officials. Only two people fight over the title at a time for the most part anyway.
