What To Watch For

The WWE makes it clear that protecting Charlotte is of the utmost importance, and who could blame him? Beyond the fact that she looks like an elite athlete, performs like an elite athlete, and is the daughter of the greatest Sports Entertainer ever, Charlotte is a natural inside the ring. A technician who can tell any story and work as a face or heel, she earned rousing praise for both her feud with Sasha Banks and her ability to get babyfaces over.

Charlotte will be protected in tonight’s match, so if she loses, there could be some sort of interference involved. That may be one reason why this match isn’t actually inside Hell in a Cell, other than the more obvious fact that there’s no reason for a match between these two to have such a stipulation; the feud has barely begun.

Carmella and even Ronda Rousey, due to the potential for a Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen match at Survivor Series, are candidates to influence this match.

On the episode of SmackDown Live, Carmella’s distraction on Becky Lynch, who was Charlotte’s tag team partner, allowed Natalya to lock the “Sharpshooter” on Charlotte for the win. Natalya’s “Sharpshooter” could be the most likely candidate to finish the match, because it’s interesting to see that Charlotte hasn’t used “Natural Selection” in quite some time. She did, however, use the move to defeat Natalya on SmackDown a few months ago.

Since Charlotte and Natalya aren’t getting a chance to compete inside the cell, I’d also look forward to watching a couple of crazy spots. Vince McMahon trusts these two greatly, as they are two of the smartest and toughest women in the business. Before Money in the Bank, we saw Charlotte hit a Moonsault onto the floor and Natalya a powerbomb on Flair through the table.
