4. Randy Orton needs to stop winning PPVs

Yes, someone might come back and say how he put over Jinder Mahal of all people on three different occasions. But let me ask you, did he really need to win last night? Rusev is a promising young star in the WWE. He has the build, charisma, athleticism, size and in-ring skills. His foreign heel gimmick has been used too much. However, that does not negate the fact that the ceiling is too high for Rusev.

Creative should have let him take the rub instead last night. There was absolutely no need for Orton to win last night. What does he need the momentum for? To challenge Baron Corbin for the US title? No no mate, that spot is for Tye Dillinger. Perhaps it is high time Orton took a page from Cena’s play book. Yes, Cena too buried Rusev. But it never happened in nine seconds.

There was no need for this match to be on the card. At best, it should have been reserved for the pre-show. The wrong man won in the end and the one person who deserved some momentum lost whatever minute momentum he had. Moreover, this match had zero continuity as well. Where was Aiden English? Doesn’t he want some kind of revenge against Orton for the RKO from last week? Here is the big takeaway though – Randy Orton has gotten as stale as stale could logically get. He needs to stop winning PPVs and start putting over young talent.
