2. Sami Zayn can make almost anything work

One of the last remaining pure babyfaces in the WWE, Sami Zayn is loved by the fans all over the world. The Underdog from the Underground has an innate ability to generate sympathy from the crowd. His supreme athleticism and in-ring skills are an added advantage. Last night, Zayn would shock the world when he came out during the main event match.

Though many people had predicted this would happen, it was still surreal. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are sworn enemies. They hate each other. Moreover, Owens has done everything in his power to make life miserable for Sami. Yet, there he was, trying to save his former best friend, against all odds. He knew he would be counted among the heels. Zayn knew he would have to face the consequences.

More than everything else, Zayn knew that had he stayed back, Shane might have been done with KO once and for all. However, he resisted all urge to see KO get what he has deserved all along. Even in this supposed heel turn, Sami Zayn was a good guy. After all, he was just trying to protect his friend for the sake of his family. It is not so often that WWE tells a story as good as this. Zayn’s latest shift in character might be the best thing to happen to him. If anything, it places him at the forefront of the hottest rivalry in recent times. That is always a good thing.
