Beginning with the worst, we power rank all of the WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 matches.
Much like many of the other WWE pay per views that have taken place this year, WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 was a bit of a mixed bag. Book-ended by two phenomenal, match of the year type wars inside the cell, the ninth installment of this annual event had a fairly bland middle. Not to say everything between the opener and main event were bad, in fact there were some solid moments. But when a show begins and ends in the fashion that it did in Detroit on Sunday, it gives the middle acts a very difficult row to hoe.
When the smoke cleared at Little Ceasar’s Arena, two titles on SmackDown Live had changed hands, a former TNA champion had won his PPV debut, and it appears that a once long time friendship turned rivalry has once again been rekindled. That being said, Hell In A Cell could mean more to the blue brand than just a solid live show. The events that occurred Sunday night should set the scene for what the rest of 2017 brings for Tuesday nights.
But in dissecting the matches from Hell In A Cell, it’s clear that two matches stood tall and five fell somewhere after them as far as quality goes. Ahead we power rank all of Sunday’s matches, going worst to first.
