WWE 2K18, the newest WWE video game, officially hits stores today. Is it worth playing?

Every October, WWE releases the latest in its series of video games. Today, WWE 2K18 officially gets its release, after the “Deluxe Edition” hit stores on Friday. This year’s game boasts the largest roster in the history of WWE, with 174 unique playable characters right out of the box.

I only play like one or two new video games a year, and I’m usually pretty bad at them. So if there’s anyone who can tell you whether a game is worth your hard earned money, it’s me. One of those games I get is usually the newest WWE game, because there’s plenty to keep you occupied even if you’re garbage at the gameplay.

Since I’m really just a big kid, of course I went ahead and bought the Deluxe Edition of WWE 2K18. Sure, I am very hit or miss on the actual matches, but this is WWE – there’s so many more important things than matches!

Within the confines of this game, you have the ability to be the booker, create new talent, change championships on a whim, and so much more. They might as well call the game “Vincent Kennedy McMahon: A Day In The Life.”

Having played around with the various features since I got home from work Friday night, here’s some thoughts on the gameplay and the various modes.
