WWE 2K18 Review: How Does This Year’s Game Stack Up?

Who among us hasn’t dreamed of stepping into a wrestling ring at some point? Most of us will never get that opportunity, but through the power of a video game, you can sort of make your dream come true.
As with all WWE video games for the past decade or two, there’s a pretty extensive creation suite in 2K18. Depending on your attention to detail, you can either get a character banged out in a few minutes that looks kinda sorta like you, or you can spend hours crafting perfection right down to the wrinkles around your eyes or the exact ratio of fat to muscle on your back.
Me? I get distracted pretty easily, so I usually start off by doing a quick creation just to get going with him. In the coming weeks I’ll probably “fix” myself up, but for now, check out the newest member of the Bullet Club:
If you’re creating your superstar for MyCareer, where you work your way up the ranks from NXT to main eventing WrestleMania, you start off with some limitations on how much of the options are available to you. (More on MyCareer in a bit.) But there’s a bunch of pretty cool moves to select as your finisher or signature, and as you become more seasoned you can edit your move list. You can also create entrances for your superstar completely from scratch.
There’s also the ability to create brand new championships, arenas, shows, and more. But since that’s more like booking your own promotion, we’ll talk about that next.
