WWE SmackDown 5 Predictions: Can Dolph Ziggler Score An Upset?
On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, Dolph Ziggler will try to get revenge on Bobby Roode, who defeated “The Greatest In-Ring Performer In WWE History” by grabbing the tights on a roll-up pin at Hell in a Cell.
WWE SmackDown Live earned a penchant for failing to deliver at pay per views following the latest “Superstar Shakeup”, frustrating loyal fans of the product who fondly remember the “Blue Brand” knocking PPVs like No Mercy, TLC, and the Elimination Chamber out of the park.
As far as I’m concerned, Hell in a Cell was as good as any of those pay per views, because both of the matches inside of the cell delivered. The Sami Zayn heel turn means that the current storyline Kevin Owens has embarked on will remain the hottest thing in the company, and AJ Styles helped the show immensely by putting over Baron Corbin to finally move back into the WWE Championship picture.
But for as great as SmackDown Live is right now after building up so much momentum, the WWE Championship remains an enigma. Jinder Mahal has plenty of heat, but he may be injured and isn’t exactly respected by the fans. Meanwhile, the match at Hell in a Cell between Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode was equally as underwhelming as Mahal’s match with Shinsuke Nakamura, but at least those two will have a chance to remedy that tonight.
