1. AJ Styles Does Something With Jinder Mahal

I have no idea how the WWE will approach this, but it’s painfully obvious to me that the only person who can potentially coax a great match or meaningful rivalry with Jinder Mahal on SmackDown Live right now is AJ Styles. They call him “The Phenomenal One” for a reason, and he was nothing short of the word during his reign as WWE Champion last year.

Mahal has a longer reign than Styles, but he’s diminished the prestige of the title that Styles helped bring to it with his exceptional promos and matches. I want Styles to call Mahal out, and I want him to go hard at the current WWE Champion. I know that won’t happen, since the WWE doesn’t want to expose Mahal badly, especially since he will be wrestling as a babyface against Kevin Owens on the tour in India.

But Styles took umbrage with Baron Corbin for taking cheaphots and shortcuts, so shouldn’t he do the same with Mahal, who is the poster child for cheating right now? Mahal can’t win without the Singh Brothers pulling “BS” on his opponents.

Styles needs to come out and stake a claim to the WWE Championship, and I actually think he and Mahal could pull a great feud. Mahal has shown in matches against Roman Reigns and Cesaro that he is actually not bad at wrestling, and maybe a program with Styles is what he needs to either get his confidence or prove to Vince McMahon that he doesn’t have to be saddled with the same tired tropes that have, quite frankly, gotten him absolutely nowhere.
