WWE Rumors: The Undertaker Returning at Survivor Series 2017?
By Harry Austen
On the latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, we saw the return of The Big Red Machine Kane. However, could we be seeing his “brother”, The Undertaker, also make surprise return?
As just mentioned, Kane, who has been out of action for some time now running for Mayor (which does sound very similar to ‘Corporate Kane’), made his return to WWE Raw to help take out Roman Reigns. As a result, he has joined the The Miz, The Bar, and Braun Strowman to face The Shield at this Sunday’s TLC.
Since the most recent show, there’s been a lot of rumour mill talk on Kane’s involvement in the TLC match, especially on why he’s returning to feud against The Shield. One would assume, and hope, that Kane is returning to get revenge on Reigns for defeating his “brother” at WrestleMania. However, the commentary team were too busy shouting “It’s KANE”, to give us any idea of what the future holds in terms of a story arc.
However, if a recent rumor is to believed, that’s exactly what WWE are planning to build towards.
According to Wrestling Inc (H/T: CageSide Seats’s Rumor Roundup), there’s speculation that the Undertaker may be returning at the iconic Survivor Series pay-per-view to team up with Kane. The rumor continues by saying that their opponents would likely be The Shield.
Of course, at this stage, it’s just a rumor, however, you can’t argue that the story doesn’t make sense. Conversely, if it is true, it makes you wonder why Kane hasn’t returned earlier to kick off the feud, since it’s been almost six months since Reigns “retired” the Deadman. It’s almost as if Kane was running for office or something?
Joking aside, the bout is a big money match. The returning Shield versus the returning Brothers of Destruction. I can already smell money.
The only issue I have with the match taking place is that Reigns already “retired the Undertaker”, and then the Phenom had a farewell goodbye. It does seem slightly off if he does return, especially after all the tributes and emotion following his last match at ‘Mania.

I guess the only response is that, “Hey, it’s wrestling!” And anything can happen, right? In my book, it would be cool to see the two retire together at Survivor Series. One more match, as the old chant goes, with Undertaker and Kane teaming together to face The Shield. It seems like a logical explanation, if WWE do want to rewrite his retirement. And that’s exactly the way I’d do it.
