Bayley

What’s the boss without the hugger? That’s actually kind of the problem. Every one of Bayley’s moments has come with some sort of Sasha Banks involvement. Their admiration they have for each other on social media has practically done WWE’s job for them. It’s almost written itself to one day be the catalyst for a great turn and Sasha vs. Bayley round three. Does Bayley have an identity outside of this, though?

She has said herself that she aims to be the female John Cena. Cena, no matter how many young fans he might have, has never been given a “This is Your Life” type of segment. He’s never almost given a championship back because he feels he didn’t earn it. Cena has also never been given a storyline revolving around the idea that he doesn’t have it in him to hit somebody with a kendo stick. Call it lazy booking. Call it an outdated idea of what a role model for girls may be. Bayley’s more of a “Care Bear” than anything else. The only thing left is having her dress like one for a Halloween segment.

She doesn’t need to be a heel to be enjoyable. Just add a P to the G rating WWE booking has given her. Their minds are too wrapped around the idea of what they think a superstar just for kids should be. In fact, all WWE superstars should be kid-friendly. Even the “bad ” superstars. Isn’t that what going PG was for? Don’t make Bayley a guinea pig. Just let her wrestle.
