WWE SmackDown Top 5 Segments: Sami Zayn Eviscerates Daniel Bryan

Number 2: Rusev/English & The New Day Meet
This is what happens when you put a group of creative, inherently funny people with great timing and who always make the most of every second they are given on-camera. You get a simply produced and amazingly entertaining segment that sets so many things in motion in such a short amount of time.
Firstly, I’m very happy that creative has decided to continue going forward with the Rusev and Aiden English (who looks amazing in his cravat) pairing. The more we see the two together the more their chemistry percolates, revealing brief moments of genius that make you hungry for more. “Now’s not the time,” Rusev stoically cuts off English with impeccable timing as the Shakespeare of Song attempts to break into his Rusev Day theme.
The New Day are incredible as the lovable jerks, with absurd and ebullient antics that would otherwise come across as straight-up heelish. They’re the perfect foils for the Rusev/English straight man duo, bursting the bubbles of their own sense of self-worth. This is a feud that has the potential to make a lot of sense.
See how much can be accomplished in just a few minutes? With only one segment a situation has been established, a conflict has been sewn, and motivation has been created. Imagine how much more compelling storylines there could be if WWE could nail this formula more often.
