Along with Raw GM Kurt Angle wrestling at WWE TLC 2017, AJ Styles will be facing Finn Balor at the event.

WWE recently revealed two major changes to the WWE TLC 2017 event, the first being that Kurt Angle – who hasn’t wrestled for 11 years, will be joining the team of Rollins and Ambrose to face off against The Miz, The Bar, Strowman, and Kane.

In addition to this shocking announcement, WWE also noted that AJ Styles will be facing Finn Balor. Bray Wyatt was set to face Balor at the event, but clearly he has been struck with the illness going around the WWE locker room.

Well, this just got interesting.

This will be the first time that Styles and Balor meet inside a WWE ring, and it should be (pun intended) phenomenal. The news of Angle returning is huge, but the announcement of Balor/Styles should also been seen as a major positive.

Personally, I really wasn’t interested in the Wyatt versus Balor match at TLC. With that said, I wasn’t interesting in the feud to begin with.

However, with that match being scrapped, we finally get to see the Phenenemal One go up against the former Universal Champion, one-on-one. You know, as opposed to a match between one man covered in paint and the other in a dress.

To say that the major changes to the TLC event have changed the scope of the pay per view is an understatement. While some may be mad that they won’t be seeing The Shield, as a group, face off against the five other men, you can’t argue that Angle is great replacement.

And as for the Styles replacing Wyatt, as I previously explained, the previous match wouldn’t have been remembered – for anything positive anyway – and Styles coming in to face Balor should be great. And before you ask questions on why Styles is wrestling on a Raw branded pay-per-view, stop.

Who cares about kayfabe when you’ve got those two battling it out!
