4. Drew Gulak’s Powerpoint Presentation – 205 Live

For this writer, who is a massive guilty pleasure Drew Gulak fan, this one is painful to write. The guy really has the potential to be one of the more entertaining characters in the company. Add in that he’s a terrific in-ring mat -worker and you can see that “Captain Underpants” has the entire package. No pun intended. However, since coming to the WWE full time in September of last year, Gulak, like many of the other Cruisers has struggled to find the sufficient air time needed to show everything he can do. That hasn’t stopped him from trying though as his “No Fly Zone” campaign and now his new powerpoint presentation shtick is outstanding.

Unfortunately for Drew, his Tuesday night presentation just didn’t seem to have the luster that some of his other performances have. The segment dragged on far too long and the Seattle, Washington crowd seemed firmly bored with the proceedings. It didn’t help that nobody came out to interrupt Gulak either which made the promo just seem more contrived and just a little bit pointless.

On the positive side, it was nice to see Gulak as part of what ever it is that Enzo Amore is trying to do on 205 Live.  The Cruiserweight heel stable that “The Certified G” is seemingly putting together is a perfect spot for “The Master of the Powerpoint Presentation” and he can absolutely use that gimmick in the near future. However, when he does, there needs to be more emphasis on where the routine goes because Gulak’s personality is good enough to make a revamped version of this thing stick, which could elevate him into the 205 title picture.
