WWE Raw Winners and Losers: Drew Gulak is the Voice of a Generation
By Bryan Heaton
Winner: Kane
For the second straight week, Kane is one of Raw‘s top winners. Last week, it was for his shocking return that came totally out of the blue. He worked with Braun Strowman to give Roman Reigns meningitis and mumps, I think.
This week, Kane’s on top of the world for a couple of reasons. First, he gave a really good explanation for why he turned on Strowman at TLC. As someone who may have been called a jerk before, but never a monster, it’s hard to put myself in Kane’s head. But The Big Red Machine was apparently peeved that someone else dared profess that they were a monster.
So just because Braun Strowman called himself the Monster Among Men, Kane had to take him down a peg and dump him in a trash compactor. The Big Red Machine then issued his own open challenge, which was answered by Finn Balor.
Balor put up a valiant fight, but in the end it was Kane who withstood the punishment and earned a victory. Sure, it took three chokeslams to put Balor away, but I’m chalking that up more to Finn’s resilience than any weakness on the part of Kane. With Kane making his return to Raw he’s quickly reestablished himself as one of the most feared superstars on the show.
