WWE Rumors: Nia Jax ‘Expected’ To Return To Raw Tomorrow

WWE Raw boasts the most dominant woman in Sports Entertainment in Nia Jax, and she is reportedly set to make her return to the show tomorrow night.

A couple of weeks ago, WWE’s Nia Jax was reportedly granted a leave of absence for an unspecified reason, but given that Neville recently walked out of the company after creative differences, some speculated that Nia could be doing the same. When the news initially broke that Jax wasn’t available, a rumor floated around that she had indeed walked out before it was later clarified that she merely received a “leave of absence”.

However, just one week after this, there was a report stating that Jax walked out from the company after learning that she would have to lose to Sasha Banks cleanly at TLC. Banks, of course, defeated Alicia Fox on the pre-show, as Nia wasn’t available. This report from Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso also stated that Jax had consulted with The Rock, and he advised her to walk out if she was truly unhappy.

The rumblings that Jax “walked out” were again disputed, but this time by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer News.

Today, PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson reports that Jax is “expected” to be at Monday Night Raw tomorrow. Johnson clarified that Jax has been dealing with a back injury, and that makes far more sense than what other outlets were speculating.

It will be interesting to see what plans the WWE has in store for Jax as we head into Survivor Series.

Last year, Jax was billed as a monster before the five-on-five match but tapped out to Becky Lynch’s Dis-Arm-Her. There’s no shame in that, but more is expected from her booking-wise. And with Emma released, Asuka’s latest rival is gone, and fans may speculate that Jax could be next to feud with “The Empress Tomorrow”. I doubt that’s the case just yet, making Jax’s future opponents all the more interesting.

It never made sense to believe the reports that Jax simply walked away from the company, because even though it’s been puzzling to see that she still hasn’t secured the Raw Women’s Championship, she hasn’t been booked that poorly. She’s also been on the main roster for only a little over a year, so it’s not like she has been toiling away without purpose. Her storyline with Alexa Bliss needs to be developed more, and the consistently-improving “Force of Greatness” should be headed for a real run at some point in the near future.
