5. Apollo Crews

Now, I can’t really blame you if you were taken aback by my choice. Apollo Crews hasn’t been on any kind of hot trail ever since making it to the main roster. Moreover, I don’t think I have ever placed him on a list of winners. He has never been on a list of losers either. To be placed on either of those lists, you need a character, a motive and an outcome. The talented young man had none of these for a long while. Crews had been wandering around in a state of limbo for all eternity until now.

Last night was perhaps the first time in quite a while that Crews showed some kind of character trait. He is an athletic guy who loves to smile a lot. Beyond that, Crews never really had anything going for him. But on Monday, he was out there to prove something. After being the first superstar to be attacked by the Blue Team, Crews wanted to prove to the authorities that he does indeed belong on Team Red.

Crews wanted to show the GM and the Commissioner that he has what it takes. He wanted to earn his place on the Survivor Series men’s team the noble way. Sadly though, it meant facing Samoa Joe and the rest as you know is history. But still, Crews wasn’t made to look like a pushover. He managed to get in some decent offence, though the outcome of the match was never a part of the equation. Crews got some decent air time, put on a solid performance, and showed some character traits for once. Those reasons are good enough for me to put him on this list.
