WWE Rumors: More Superstars on 205 Live, Including Hideo Itami

According to a new report, WWE are planning on bringing up new Superstars to the 205 Live roster.

The report in question comes from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, who writes that WWE are looking to bring up Hideo Itami to the main roster to be a part of 205 Live. This would, of course, mean he’d be joining the Raw show along with the other Cruiserweight talent.

Johnson mentions later on in the report that the idea of moving Itami up has been pitched several times as of late. He adds that currently there’s no set date for his debut on the main roster, however, the plan is to move him as soon as the company decide where they’re going to plug him in.

In addition to the Japanese star, Johnson also mentions that WWE may be interested in bringing on talent from outside of the company.

Rockstar Spud, who was released from Impact Wrestling yesterday, is one the names that WWE are reportedly interested in bringing in to strengthen 205 Live. Ryan Satin from Pro Wrestling Sheet also released the same report during his piece on Spud exiting Impact.

So there you have it. We could be seeing two more stars on 205 Live, and what’s more, two more stars on WWE’s flagship show.

I’ve been waiting a long time see Itami on the main roster, ever since his debut on NXT. The former NOAH star has been at WWE for just over three years now, and to be honest, I was worried that they’d let him go following the length of time in developmental, as well as his frequent injuries. However, thankfully it seems that’s not the case, and we may finally see what the man formerly known as KENTA can do on the main roster.

As for Spud, I’ve always seen him as a comedy like character. Much like Enzo, he’s got the gift to gab, but not so much the gift to jab. It would be cool to see where he would fit in on the 205 Live roster, however, I’d assume he’d turn into another Amore-like Superstar. Which is certainly not a bad thing when it comes to generating interest in the product.
