1. AJ Styles Destroys Samir Singh

After defeating Sunil Singh in unsurprisingly swift fashion, AJ Styles will take on Samir Singh tonight to complete his destruction of both halves of the Singh Brothers. As he prepares for an ill-advised confrontation with Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Jinder Mahal is clearly doing whatever he can to duck AJ Styles, including throwing his two loyal henchmen to the wolves in order to avoid potentially dropping his title to a superior in-ring competitor.

Mahal’s conniving tactics are admirable, but it will be interesting to see if they cost him. Styles was quite merciful towards Sunil Singh last week, but that’s not always the case. We’ve seen Styles’s more aggressive side come out when he feels the need to show some savagery, and I wonder if he could snap and send Samir Singh to “Bump City”, though maybe not quite in the same scary manner that Orton did.

This is a filler match on the card, so hopefully it leads to either an “OMG! Moment” in the form of a bump or some sort of direct interaction between Styles and Mahal. It’s clear that Styles doesn’t see Mahal as an equal in the ring, and, based on the fact that he’s sending the Singh Brothers to do the dirty work for him, Mahal likely feels the same way.

Styles is treading water until Mahal’s match with Lesnar at Survivor Series, and it’s anyone’s guess as to whether or not he re-captures the WWE Championship by defeating the “Modern Day Maharaja” after the WWE’s final “Big Four” PPV of 2017. Although Styles deserves the championship victory, Mahal’s reign doesn’t show any signs of stopping.
