5. Fresh faces to 205 Live?

After losing Austin Aries and Neville in the past few months, 205 Live could be in line for some new faces. And no, I’m not talking about Kalisto.

Rumors swirling around suggest Hideo Itami could soon be promoted from NXT, taking a role in the Cruiserweight division. It was first reported by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson. This will inevitably draw mixed reviews from fans. Some will feel placing him on 205 Live would be a waste of his talents, while others will believe it elevates the entire division.

I lean towards the latter. And the call-ups shouldn’t stop at Itami. 205 Live should be loaded with stars.

Instead of having Finn Balor tread water in a feud with Bray Wyatt, why not have him dominate the Cruiserweight division? When a feud opens up elsewhere on Raw or Balor can finally get his rematch for the Universal Championship, he can step away from 205 Live. But in the mean time it would make the Tuesday night show must-see TV.

Go ahead and add Itami. Bring in Rockstar Spud, who is also rumored to be heading to WWE. Johnny Gargano would be a great fit for 205 Live. So would Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. If you added all of these names to the show, would it still feel like a demotion? Or would 205 Live become regular must-see viewing?

Itami heading to 205 Live would be a step in the right direction. Moves like this would add credibility to the division, which might prevent stars like Neville walking out the building.
