3. A week of returns

Stephanie McMahon was just one of many returnees this past Monday. Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, Nia Jax, Bo Dallas and ring announcer JoJo were all back on the show.

Strowman made the biggest impact. After attacking The Miztourage, his babyface turn was all but confirmed. And it’s about time. Fans want to cheer The Monster Among Men. He’s been on fire all year and should remain a main event attraction for some time. Strowman was added to the Raw team for Survivor Series earlier this week.

Joe returned in dominant fashion too, squashing Apollo Crews before attacking Titus O’Neil after the match. His role for Survivor Series remains to be seen, but don’t be surprised if he’s added to the five-on-five match. It could lead to some tension between Joe and Strowman, setting up a must-see match down the line.

Equally impressive was Nia Jax, beating Bayley to secure her place on Team Raw. The booking of Bayley has been so bizarre this year. One minute she’s being pushed into a Women’s Championship match, the next she’s getting pinned by Alicia Fox and used to put Jax over.

That aside, Raw is a much better place with Strowman, Joe and Jax back. It’s also good to see Bo Dallas and JoJo have been cleared to return. Bray Wyatt is overseas on the show’s European tour, which is more positive news.
