1. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as wild cards during Survivor Series
It seems as though SmackDown’s lead heel duo will not be a part of Survivor Series this year. After Sami Zayn failed to qualify for a spot on the team against Randy Orton, Owens looked to earn a spot this week. He battled Shinsuke Nakamura in the night’s main event but failed to come out on top. Zayn and Owens will now have something else to do on this year’s annual extravaganza.
Their original plan was to join the team and win the match, making Shane McMahon owe them a big favor. There was no better way to rub it in Shane’s face than this. However, as fate would have it, this plan did not come into fruition. So what will Zayn and Owens do next? Will they turn on their brand and align with Raw? Will they still try to help out during the match and end up costing Team Blue a certain victory?
It’s not strange to see someone attack someone else from their respective brand due to personal issues. Dean Ambrose would attack AJ Styles last year, which resulted in a mini Shield reunion. If Zayn and KO look to take out Shane from the match out of spite, I wouldn’t be surprised. With these two wild variables wandering outside the general equation, a number of possibilities lie ahead. They could be working for Triple H, who ensure Stephanie’s brand comes out on top. They could perhaps cut a deal with Daniel Bryan which would be shocking to say the least.

Either way, by having neither of them as part of the team, creative has effectively created a sense of mystique around them. The outcome of this year’s Survivor Series could rely solely on these two now.
