WWE Raw: Will Finn Balor Cross Paths With The Undertaker?

Was Finn Balor’s recent tombstone tweet a mere troll or did it mean something more? Could the WWE Raw star be ready to take on the Undertaker ?

If you aren’t aware of it yet, Finn Balor took to Twitter to troll and potentially scare the fans once more. Balor would post a cryptic tweet that could be perceived in many ways. The tweet was merely a picture of a grave stone or a tombstone, with the words ‘BYE’ written on it. There was nothing more and most certainly nothing less. The internet took to storm over this as many speculated this meant Balor was leaving the WWE.

To be fair, people had every right to feel that way. Finn has spent time in the upper mid-card of WWE Raw ever since returning from injury. He has held zero titles despite being one of the best. Balor has mostly feuded with Bray Wyatt, who might be equally disappointed with what the WWE has done with his character. Additionally, Balor’s mates and former Bullet Club members, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, were also believed to be in on this for some reason.

However, for the time being, none of them are leaving the WWE. Which led me to think further about this tweet. Some might say I am over-thinking. However, as someone who writes about the ups and downs of pro-wrestling, it is indeed my job to over-think and over-analyze every thing. So here is a wild idea for the creative team.

What if the Undertaker is being set up to actually pass the torch to someone who deserves it? We all knew and wanted it to be either Bray Wyatt or Finn Balor. It was never meant to be Roman Reigns.

So let’s all forget the past that the Undertaker was seemingly retired by Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 and that he is back for one more run. We know that the Undertaker will be making a return to the WWE for Raw’s Twenty Fifth Anniversary edition. Finn Balor will be there, too.

Balor knows and loves to troll us on social media. A picture of a tombstone with the words ‘bye’. Who is more associated with Tombstones and graveyards than the Undertaker? Is Balor telling us that he will be the one to truly retire the Dead Man?

What if the Phenom crosses paths with the Demon at WrestleMania 34? What if, he takes his final loss there, but this time, he returns back to Death Valley happy and fulfilled, after passing the torch of darkness to Finn Balor? Some people would be unhappy about the idea of Taker losing one more match at Mania. But I see no reason why the WWE would not think about doing something like this.
