3. Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe Needs to Continue
The return of Samoa Joe was much-needed for the red brand. Joe gained a ton of momentum over the summer with his involvement in the Universal Championship picture with Brock Lesnar, but an injury in late August kept Joe out of action for about two months.
But since returning, The Destroyer has picked up right where he left off. And last night’s Raw saw the seeds planted for a potential standout feud with another highly-talented superstar on the Raw roster. Finn Balor had been entangled in a feud with Bray Wyatt, but since Wyatt’s health issues, Balor hasn’t had any direction.
That might have all changed last night when Balor answered an open challenge by Joe. Some fans thought a Balor vs. Joe feud could be great for Monday nights, and last night’s encounter showed its potential. The two had a very good match that ended in a double count-out before they both tried attacking the other on the ramp after being separated.
Although both Balor and Joe are now on the same team at Survivor Series, they could pick up right where they left off last night after Survivor Series and have a potentially great feud. The chemistry these two have in the ring showed itself last night and if they got the chance to compete at a pay-per-view, the match could be something special.
Joe and Balor are two of the most talented individuals in the WWE, and they can help create direction for each other with a memorable feud that the WWE needs to explore.
