2. The Shield vs. The New Day Has Match of the Year Potential

Survivor Series is all about brand supremacy, and last night’s Raw confirmed a battle for brand supremacy between the two biggest trios in the WWE.  It seemed inevitable these trios would cross paths at Survivor Series, but it’s now official.

The Shield will battle The New Day in large part due to The New Day crashing Raw on Nov. 6 to inadvertently cost Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose the Raw Tag Team Championship.  And last night’s Raw made the dream match official for Survivor Series.

Roman Reigns’ return to Raw last night after health issues the previous few weeks gave The Shield the spark it needed and the 3-on-3 matchup at Survivor Series could be one to remember for a long time given the chemistry that The Shield and The New Day have as teams.

The New Day has been part of match of the year candidates already this season, and now having the trio square off with The Shield could add another match of the year candidate to the list.  Both trios have proven they’re more than capable of delivering great performances and now with both combined in one match, the sky could be the limit.

Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose battling Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods screams greatness and could be a special match for an already loaded Survivor Series card.
