2. Charlotte’s SmackDown Women’s Championship Win Improves Survivor Series

Charlotte Flair is one of the most talented performers women’s wrestling has ever seen, and there was one more opportunity to prove her greatness.  Since joining SmackDown in the superstar shakeup earlier this year, Charlotte had yet to get her hands on the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

At Hell in a Cell, Natalya got herself disqualified and kept her title.  But last night’s SmackDown saw a much different change of pace from that previous encounter.  In one of the better women’s matches in recent memory, Charlotte defeated Natalya to win her first-ever SmackDown Women’s Championship in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

It was a great moment, but the moment after the match was even greater when Charlotte and her father Ric Flair embraced on the stage.  Now with Charlotte as the blue brand’s women’s champion, she will battle the Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at Survivor Series.  Bliss vs. Natalya could have worked, but Bliss vs. Charlotte is the better option.

Bliss and Charlotte are arguably the two best women’s competitors in the WWE and who wouldn’t want to see The Goddess vs. The Queen?  The match gains much more intrigue with Charlotte in the picture and given how talented both Bliss and Charlotte are, it could be a special match.

Winning gold has been a Flair tradition for many years, and Charlotte adding the SmackDown Women’s Championship shakes up not only SmackDown, but Survivor Series as a whole.
