3. Who is Team SmackDown’s fifth member?

The SmackDown Women’s title changed hands this week as Charlotte defeated Natalya in the former’s hometown. Unlike other title changes which were rushed to improve the match card, this felt like the right decision all along. Bliss vs Charlotte is always better than Bliss vs Natalya, despite the lack of build towards the match. Heel vs heel dynamic is harder to work in the Women’s division. Especially with two generic heels like Bliss and Natalya.

However, Charlotte’s ascension to the top has now left a void on the Blue Team. They need a fifth member. Seeing as Natalya does not have a match on the card anymore, she seems like the most obvious choice. However, it is hard to buy into that idea. Creative could be working towards something more surprising at the last-minute.

One possible outcome is Paige joining Team SmackDown Live as the fifth woman on the team. There have been rumors about why she was not included in Team Raw. Whether those rumors are true or not, Paige as the fifth member on Team Blue would be a nice surprise. Sportskeeda presented an idea the Nikki Bella could make a return to claim the fifth spot. Far-fetched as it may seem at first, one can’t argue that it would make for a surprise return and a nice pop.
