Singles Match: Kassius Ohno vs Lars Sullivan

It’s been nice seeing Ohno back in the WWE. The former indy wrestling darling know as Chris Hero on that scene, is one of the more gifted performers in the business and has been for the better part of a decade. Now at 37, his skills may be declining just the slightest bit but that hasn’t stopped him from making the most out of his second run in NXT with signature wins over Hideo Itami and Elias Sampson.

Unfortunately for Ohno, he runs into Lars Sullivan Saturday night. The 6’3′, 285 behemoth from Westminster, Colorado has been on an absolute tear of late as he hasn’t had his shoulders pinned for a 3-count in over three months. Among his victims has been Fabian Aichner, No Way Jose, Danny Burch, and Ohno who he’s recently defeated in a number of house shows. That last fact alone does not bode well for Kassius.

The WWE loves it’s monsters and Sullivan is looking more and more like one every day. And like some of Vince’s other favorites like Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, Sullivan was created in the WWE lab and has only wrestled for them. That makes it look pretty obvious that Sullivan is destined for bigger things. Saturday night will be the beginning of what looks like a hard push for “The Freak. And unfortunately it will be at the expense of the talented Ohno.

Winner: Lars Sullivan
