The post-Survivor Series edition of WWE Raw wasn’t the most action-packed Raw there ever has been, but there were enough standout moments to make the WWE universe think about what the future has in store.
With brand supremacy in the past, WWE Raw now shifts to building its own brand battles and while some feuds are continuing, others are starting. A few unanswered Survivor Series questions remain, but future possibilities still exist out of the event.
And a return over a year in the making has dramatically changed things on Monday nights. With that being said, let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the Nov. 20 edition of Raw.
5. Triple H’s Role Still Undefined
Survivor Series saw the on-screen, in-ring return of The Game Triple H as he took over the fifth and final spot of Team Raw. But his actions during that match were quite confusing and threw many people for a loop.
Most expected to see some type of fallout or explanation from the King of Kings last night on Raw, but there was none to be found. In fact, Triple H’s role probably became more unclear opposed to what it was the night before at Survivor Series.
Stephanie McMahon introduced Triple H as the man who led Team Raw to victory before Kurt Angle, Jason Jordan, and Braun Strowman eventually all came out to get in the face of The Game. And for the latter face-to-face, Strowman basically punked Triple H and ran him off after Stephanie said there’s nobody on the roster he’s afraid of.
Many believe an Angle vs. Triple H matchup is in the works, but there are so many others involved now that it’s hard to tell what the WWE has in store for the Cerebral Assassin. Will Strowman get a match with Triple H? Will Jordan get his shot? The possibilities are endless at this point.
The Game’s role remains undefined and if he is to become a prominent force on Raw again, his future plans leading into WrestleMania 34 should finally start becoming clearer.
