3. Braun Strowman’s Momentum Halted to Build Unnecessary Feud With Kane

The hottest superstar on Raw over the past few months was the Monster Among Men Braun Strowman.  But since losing to Brock Lesnar at No Mercy, he lacked the same dominance and presence he had prior.

Strowman got momentum back at Survivor Series as he, alongside Triple H, was the sole survivor for Team Raw.  But being irritated The Game stole the moment from him, he laid out Triple H to close out Survivor Series.  And last night’s Raw got off to a great start for Strowman as he more or less punked Triple H by running him out of the ring.

A battle between Strowman and Jason Jordan ensued and the Monster Among Men looked poised to get the win before Kane made his presence felt and attacked Strowman.  It seemed as if Strowman and Kane might be finished, but last night proved otherwise.

The feud is fine to do at certain times, but after Strowman becomes a sole survivor at Survivor Series and showcases dominance over Triple H, going back to a feud with Kane feels insignificant.  Not to mention, giving Strowman the momentum like what he had leading into No Mercy would bring him up several levels.

Kane isn’t finished with Strowman, but his actions last night helped halt the momentum of a monster who had gained a lot of steam.
