The New Day vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn talked to Daniel Bryan, who wished them luck, before this big lumberjack match that will take place without Shane McMahon around. I have a feeling something interesting could happen during the main event, but since the first segment of the show only had hints of managerial dissent with nothing overtly beyond that, I doubt anything huge will happen. That said, with Shane away and Daniel Bryan acting weird all night, something is brewing.
Big E and Kevin Owens start things off, and Kofi Kingston is unsurprisingly in Big E’s corner for this match. When Sami Zayn came out of the ring, the lumberjacks immediately beat up on him, and Zayn tried to escape. But all the lumberjacks carried him back into the ring so that he wouldn’t avoid further punishment.
Side note: It was great to see Mike Kanellis as a lumberjack!

Baron Corbin inadvertently hits Bobby Roode with a stiff right hand that was meant for Zayn, and the entire SmackDown Live lumberjacks go crazy and attacks each other at ringside. Sami Zayn takes advantage by pinning Kofi Kingston with a roll-up. Owens escapes after Rusev and Aiden English wipe out the new day, but Kingston gets revenge on the duo. Then, Zayn is dragged back in by Xavier Woods, and the entire New Day beats him up.
Owens begs Bryan not to fire him and Zayn, and he gets on his knees to beg. Bryan said he never planned on firing him and schedules a match between Owens and Randy Orton next week.
