Stephanie McMahon

When Stephanie McMahon returned to Raw a few weeks ago, it wasn’t exactly a welcome sight. Personally, I feel that Stephanie brings down every segment she’s a part of, and her presence alone shifts the entire tone of programming from the superstars to herself.

Look at Survivor Series – out of the blue, The Billion Dollar Princess shows up backstage to give a pep talk to the Raw Women’s team just before their match. There’s history with at least a few of those superstars and Stephanie, and it ain’t good. But there she is, rah rahing the troops to victory. Making it all about her.

On Raw itself, Stephanie opened the show to basically take credit for the Survivor Series victories – even though she really had less than nothing to do with them. By turning the opening of yet another episode of Raw into “The McMahon Family Hour (or Three),” it changes how one looks at the whole show.

Once the parade of superstars interrupting made their way to the ring, Stephanie kind of made herself scarce. For someone who seems to thrive on lording herself over everyone in the company, why would she bolt so fast? Stick around, exert your authority, and serve a purpose besides “make the show terrible.”

Hopefully, WWE can figure out this whole “authority” problem. You know, like they did for the six-plus months Stephanie was off Raw.
